Interior Fit-Out — Common Questions
A fit-out is primarily about installing and fitting elements within a space — cabinetry, fixtures, finishes, equipment. A renovation often involves structural or significant change work. In practice, many projects combine both. A fit-out usually follows a renovation or is carried out in a newly built or stripped space.
Not necessarily. For straightforward fit-out projects, we can work from your brief and preferences directly. For more complex interiors, an interior designer can help define and communicate the design intent clearly — which improves the installation outcome. We can advise on whether this would benefit your specific project.
We manage the full fit-out programme as a preferred approach. This provides you with a single point of accountability and ensures proper coordination between trades. We can also carry out specific installation elements within a wider programme managed by others.
Programme length depends on the scale and complexity of the works. A residential kitchen fit-out might take one to two weeks; a full commercial office fit-out could take several weeks to months. We provide a programme with every proposal.
Either approach is possible. We can supply and fit, or fit only from materials you have procured. Supply-and-fit often streamlines the process and ensures what is specified is what arrives on site. We discuss this clearly at the proposal stage.
